Organic Energy Solutions (OES) Waste-To-Energy Project
Location: Washington | Industry: Organic Fertilizer | Technology: Organic Fertilizer | Role: Developer
Recent studies indicate that approximately 36-million tons of food is wasted and not utilized for any form of beneficial use in the United States alone. These same studies also indicate that only about 3% of this food waste volume is recovered in some beneficial form such as energy recovery, nutrient recovery, carbon recovery, composting, or other means. Most of this food finds itself in landfills or other disposal methods that provide little to no value to society.
The Organic Energy Solutions (OES) project goal is to provide a valuable facility for resource recovery, energy production, and financial benefits to the region by utilizing local food waste resources as feedstock — producing beneficial products and materials.
