Ken is the Manager of Plant Operations of BioStar’s Waste-to-Energy facility in San Bernardino, CA.
Ken is a manufacturing professional with over 40 years of experience in all facets of what it takes to create, manage and lead high performance businesses. He has extensive steady-state operations experience as well as green field facility startups. His experience is coupled with the interpersonal skills needed to focus employees and cross functional teams on the goals, roles and expectations necessary to fully engage and energize an organization.
Ken started his career in the forest products industry and then made the switch to ethanol manufacturing in 2007. He was with Pacific Ethanol for almost 11 years where he progressed from Plant Manager to General Manager to Vice-President of Operations. Throughout his career Ken developed practical management experience in the areas of multi-plant management and leadership, and administration and management of all plant support services.
Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Idaho, is a Six Sigma-greenbelt and champion-Sigma Pro, and has received professional training in Maintenance Excellence-Life Cycle Engineering and Team Development and Facilitation.Related Team Members
